What a surprise this morning when I discovered the breakfast. For a big city like Osaka, I was waiting a continental/japanese breakfast but it was not the case 😯. The waitress told me to get some drinks (in my head: only drinks 🤔). Indeed, few seconds later, she brought me a tray with delicious meals but only japanese meals.... My stomach isn’t used to this salty food in the morning oupsss

We took the shuttle to get to Osaka Station and then Shinkansen for Okayama City. Okayama City is famous for its Korakuen Garden, one of the 3 most wonderful gardens in Japan, and for its black Castle. Both are situated along the river Asahi (like the beer 😬).

The visit of the Garden combined with a very beautiful weather equals = perfect 👍 

We followed with the visit of Okayama Castle on the other side of Asahi river.

This is time to go back to Osaka and the last time with my dear Shinkansen 😆.

Arrived in this huge Osaka Station and again, lost in this maze😱😱.

Finally we found the correct exit to get the shuttle back to the hotel 😅.

Nous avons démarré avec une surprise : le petit déjeuner de l’hôtel était uniquement japonais!

En étant à Osaka, 3e grande ville du Japon, je m’attendais à un buffet japonais/continental, quelle ne fut pas ma surprise lorsque la serveuse m’a dit d’aller choisir les boissons 🤔

En effet il n’y avait rien d’autre sur les tables à part les machines pour le café, le thé et les jus.

La serveuse a apporté un plateau avec plusieurs petits mets:

Tous les mets avaient l’air très bons, cependant pour les petits Européens que nous sommes, cela était ... comment dirais-je... un peu trop salé ?!

Nous avons pris la navette de l’hôtel pour la gare d’Osaka pour emprunter le Shinkansen jusqu’à Okayama.

A Okayama se trouve l’un des 3 plus beaux jardins du Japon et au bord de la rivière Asahi (comme la bière 😬): Korakuen.

La visite du jardin était très agréable, le beau temps était là et peu de monde 😄.

Puis un arrêt au Château d’Okayama qui se situe de l’autre côté de la rivière.

Étonnement il y a un ascenseur (?) pour monter jusqu’à 4e étage du Château.

Retour sur Osaka, dernière fois que nous prenons le Shinkansen car le JR Pass se termine aujourd’hui même. Ah j’étais bien contente de voyager avec mon cher Shinkansen!
